Product Specific
You can expect between 15 – 20 full usages per charge.
Once activated, the blender runs for 40 seconds continuously before shutting off, implying a total runtime of just over 13 minutes. Not bad at all!
Please allow 3 hours for a full charge.
SmartBlend 2 has a water-sealed Micro USB charging port on the base of the blender. It’s positioned on the base of the blender to allow for draining whilst charging.
Simply stand the blender upside down (preferably with lid off to allow for drainage), open the rubber seal and plug in provided Micro USB cable.
To prevent wastage, we have not included a wall adapter in the box, as we figure everyone has them lying around these days. Any generic USB wall adapter will serve the purpose. Alternatively you can plug into computer or car charger.
SmartBlend is far quieter than a regular kitchen blender. You certainly won’t find yourself dreading to turn it on, or inadvertently waking up the whole house.
The volume of the blender can vary based on what ingredients are used. Feel free to check out our Instagram page for footage of SmartBlend 2 in action!
It certainly will! Although, please make sure that the blocks of ice aren’t too big otherwise the blender will struggle.
If you find the blender slowing, all you need to do is flip/tilt the blender to regain motor speed.
It can also help to give the blender a shake to get stubborn ice below the blades.
Checkout our ice crushing video on our home page to see the results!
You can use the blender with hot water as our borosilicate glass is designed to withstand high temperatures.
If using hot water, ensure the lid is FULLY TIGHTENED, to prevent burns.
It couldn’t be easier!
Simply fill the blender three quarters full of water and activate. The blender is able to create a powerful vortex due to it’s cylindrical shape.
Rinse and repeat again. Use dish soap on the first rinse for better results.
If the base of the blender requires cleaning, simply unscrew and rinse by hand. The blender is water resistant once the charging cover is closed, but it CANNOT be put in the dishwasher.
Please take caution when cleaning. Do not to touch the blades while rinsing. The blender should not activate once the jar is unscrewed, however, it’s better to be safe than sorry!
No. While SmartBlend is water-resistant and rinseable, it is not designed to be put in the dishwasher.
Yes. Our jug is made from high borosilicate glass, which means no leeching plastic and chemicals into your food!
All blades will eventually get blunt so it never hurts to have some spare blades lying around.
For video instruction on how to remove the blades, please see the video on our home page.
You will need to use this video in conjunction with the following steps:
*AT NO POINT SHOULD YOUR SKIN COME INTO CONTACT OR CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE BLADES
1. Unscrew the jug from the blender base
2. Hold the blender base upside down
3. Using a soft elongated object such as wooden spoon or spatula handle, flick the the right side of the blade away from you.
4. It may take a few taps to loosen the blade. The blade unscrews clockwise, so as long as you’re tapping the right-hand side with the base positioned upside down, you will not damage the blender.
5. Once the blade has come off, place the blender base in an upright position.
6. Using a set of tongs, tweazers or pliers, sit the new blade ontop of the rotor.
8. Begin screwing on by rotating anti-clockwise, while gripped by tongs, tweazers or pliers.
9. Use the spoon/spatula handle to finish tightening. Simply flick the blade anti-clockwise until it stops rotating.
10. Do not worry about excessively tightening the blade. The blade will self-tighten when you blend.
A very popular question. SmartBlend can generally be taken on flights as carry on. Policies vary between airlines so it’s a good idea to call in advance. Ensure you disclose this product at check-in.
